DANA LAVOIE, L.Ac. — ACUPUNCTURIST & HERBALIST
Twenty Years of Practice Taught Me One Thing Above Everything Else
Women in midlife aren't getting the help they actually need. Not even close.
I became an acupuncturist over twenty years ago because I believed the body had more capacity to heal than most medicine gave it credit for. That belief has never changed.
What changed was what I saw, year after year, walking through my door.
Women in their forties and fifties who had tried everything—their doctors, their functional medicine practitioners, their supplements, their clean eating. Women who had done everything right and still felt wrong. Women who had quietly stopped telling people how bad it really was.
I kept thinking: There has to be something they haven't tried yet.

THE SHIFT
A client I'll never forget.
Early in my practice—nearly twenty years ago now—a woman came to see me who was in genuine crisis.
Her hot flashes weren't the inconvenient kind. They were seismic. They arrived with such force, such anxiety, and such brain fog that she had crashed her car with her children inside. She nearly set her house on fire. (They were all fine - but it was scary as...)
She was desperate in a way that made conventional descriptions of menopause feel absurd. This wasn't a quality-of-life issue. This was her life.
Within eight to twelve weeks on a custom herbal formula matched specifically to her pattern, she felt like herself again.
I had been trained in Chinese herbal medicine. I knew it worked. But watching it work for her—after everything else had failed—was the moment I understood what I was actually here to do.
THE CLINICAL APPROACH
The work evolved. The mission didn't.
Over the past decade, I deepened my herbal training considerably—particularly in tonic herbalism, the branch of Chinese medicine focused on healthy aging and vibrant longevity. What I discovered is that most women in America have never even heard of this medicine, let alone had access to it.
I also began studying a different way of reading bloodwork. Not looking for disease, but looking for terrain. I started mapping the patterns hiding in plain sight in labs that come back "normal." The root-cause issues that hormones were quietly compensating for over decades—until menopause removed that compensation.
What I do now is bring all of it together for women across the country who have run out of other options, or who simply want the most powerful tools available and weren't told they existed.
Where to go from here.

IN PERSON CARE
Eugene, Oregon Clinic
My in-person acupuncture practice is intentionally small and primarily dedicated to existing patients. However, I am occasionally open to new patients in the local area. If you are local to Eugene and curious about availability, you are welcome to reach out. I will be honest about what my schedule looks like.
TWENTY YEARS. TEN THOUSAND VISITS. ONE CONCLUSION.
Most women are one right conversation away from feeling different.
If that's you—I'd love to be that conversation.
